Newburyport is in the northeast corner of Massachusetts, at the mouth of the Merrimac River.

From the Boston area, take I-95 north toward New Hampshire and Maine. At exit 57 take Rt.113 east into Newburyport. Rt 113 becomes High Street and in 2.5 miles you will come to Market Street, a short street perpendicular to and ending at High Street. You will turn left. You'll know you are there as you pass the large granite St. Paul's Episcopal Church, also on your left. Follow to the end of the stone wall that surrounds the churchyard, and you will be at the Connor Summers Gallery.

From the North Shore and Cape Ann you can get to Newburyport more easily on either Rt. 1 or Rt. 1A. The former will bring you to a traffic circle by the MBTA train station and a modern District Court building. Traveling north, take the first exit out of the circle, just past Dunkin Donuts, and go straight up State Street about 3 blocks to the stoplight at the corner of High and State streets. Turn left onto High Street. and go 4 blocks to Market Street. You will see the church mentioned above, although from that direction it will be on your right. Turn right before you go past St. Paul's, and you'll find us, again, at the end of the stone wall on your left.

On 1A you will arrive from Ipswich and Newbury through the great marshland of the coast to the first stoplight in Newburyport at the corner of High and State steets. You will be on High Street. Go straight and follow the directions from the stoplight in the above paragraph, and you can't miss us.

From western Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, arrive at I-95 south in Amesbury/Salisbury, just across the Merrimack River from Newburyport. Cross the river bridge traveling south, and take exit 57. At the end of the ramp, turn left, and follow the directions from I-95 in the first paragraph above.
